How to speed up your internet connection





These days, with broadband Internet becoming as common as snow, most of us find ourselves blessed with blissful, high speed connections to the online realms. All seems to be going just great; the downloads are fast, browsing is so fast that there is virtually no stoppages, and the online games are completely lag-free. However, things tend to go wrong sometimes. We find our net speeds slower than a sloth. Gaming seems impossible online, downloads seem to take forever to complete, and the general broadband experience leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Why is my Internet so slow?

After the Google Adsense post the other day and explaining some of my settings and strategies, I thought one tip I mentioned should be given more explanation.

This little tweak can improve your earnings significantly so it is something to keep in mind when you plan your monetization with Adsense.

I kinda only mentioned it, but I did get several questions about it via e-mail. I think it would only be fair to explain the strategy a bit more.

I mentioned that if you want to make more money with Adsense, you should have less ads. Yeah, sound crazy, I know. But it works.

There is one important number in Adsense which we will revolve around in this post – CTR, the famous Click Through Rate.

Ad CTR = Clicks / Ad impressions

The higher the CTR the better your pages are performing. High CTR means that a large percentage of people are clicking on your ads (in simple words).

HACK or Simply Change XP Start Button Name


I’ve read a number of articles on the internet about changing the text on the Start button in XP. On more than one occasion I’ve seen references to a five (5) letter limitation when the button is renamed. I always wondered if this was true or just an assumption someone made because the default ‘start’ just happened to fit the button size. So, I decided to run a test and see if there really was a five character limit.

First of all just u need to do is download Resource hacker.

Resource HackerTM is a freeware utility to view, modify, rename, add, delete and extract resources in 32bit Windows executables and resource files (*.res). It incorporates an internal resource script compiler and decompiler and works on Win95, Win98, WinME, WinNT, Win2000 and WinXP operating systems.

First Step: The first step is to make a backup copy of the file explorer.exe located at C:\Windows\explorer. Place it in a folder somewhere on your hard drive where it will be safe. Start Resource Hacker and open explorer.exe located at C:\Windows\explorer.exe

Reset Your lost Bios Password

Here's a DOS trick for Windows 9x, that will reset (delete) your motherboard's BIOS password (aka CMOS password) without any need to open up your computer to remove the battery or mess with jumpers.

This method can come in very handy in the event you ever lose and forget your BIOS password or if you acquire used computers where the unknown previous owners had BIOS passwords set (in fact, this happened to me long ago桰 was given a used computer, but there was no way I could enter the CMOS to make changes). It's important to note here that the password we are talking about is only the one that prevents a user from entering the BIOS setup at bootup, not the one that stops you from getting past the boot.

Normally, at bootup you can press a key (usually the DEL key) to access your BIOS allowing you to view it or make changes. With a password set, there is no way to enter setup. Though a password can provide a basic and very effective level of PC security, losing it can be a real headache if you don't know how to fix the problem.
